York County in South Carolina keeps putting interesting film on the table. Different body types. Different roles. Same result when the traits jump. This round of On the Board lands on Hudson Maxwell, Ashton Carter, and Amari Dogan. Three names worth circling now before the rest of the region catches up.

Hudson Maxwell, DE, Fort Mill, Class of 2028

Hudson Maxwell is a different style of defensive end. And it is a good style to find. Fort Mill. Class of 2028. 6’6, 218. Long. Holds that length at the point of attack. Plays with a good motor and has clearly put work into his craft.

His get-off is a tad slow right now. That is fair. The projection still leans toward a strong 4 or 4i type as he develops. Those guys are hard to find. Maxwell looks like he can grow into the frame he already has, and that combination of length, motor, and room to fill out is exactly why he belongs on the board. You do not pass on long defensive ends who already play with intent.

Ashton Carter, DB/LB, Rock Hill, Class of 2028

Ashton Carter’s film is fun to watch, especially as a sophomore. Rock Hill. Class of 2028. 6’0, 180. Versatility is the first word that comes to mind. He is a young player making plays at safety, linebacker, and overhang.

Carter has burst. He has a change of speed when he makes his decision. He shows physicality and the ability to get off blocks to finish a play. Fun film. Versatile player. A frame left to grow into. That is a dangerous mix this early, and it is why his tape keeps you hitting replay instead of moving on to the next name.

Amari Dogan, ATH, South Pointe, Class of 2027

Amari Dogan out of South Pointe is very patient and confident on film. Class of 2027. 6’2, 175. The skill set already looks polished and developed. He has a great frame for his position and ranks high in the database, which covers the entire nation.

Would love to see him run in person, but there are no concerns in that department from the tape. Another versatile piece. He could grow into an overhang role, and the length really stands out. Dogan has already started loading up on offers, and that should not stop. When the polish and the length show up together this early, colleges usually keep coming.

Polished. Long. Rising. He is on the board.

Maxwell brings the long 4/4i projection at Fort Mill. Carter brings the fun, versatile sophomore tape at Rock Hill. Dogan brings the polished skill set and rising offer sheet at South Pointe. York County keeps feeding the board. Keep these three close. They are on it.
