With over 200 years of combined coaching experience and more than 25 championships, our organization brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success on the football field.
In a football world increasingly dominated by exposure events, Field IQ was created to return the focus to teaching the foundational skills of the sport. We believe that playing smarter is the real way to get recruited, and our mission is to ensure that our players understand the game at a deeper level to enhance their performance and visibility.
Max Lilly is a veteran college football coach, program strategist, and consultant with extensive experience building and scaling competitive programs at the collegiate level. He spent seven seasons at Concord University serving in multiple leadership roles including Defensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Football Operations Director. Across these roles, Lilly oversaw every major operational pillar of the program — recruiting systems, roster construction, scholarship modeling, compliance, budgeting, player development, and on-field performance — giving him a rare end-to-end understanding of how successful college programs are built and sustained.
As Defensive Coordinator, Lilly helped lead one of the most successful stretches in Concord history. The program posted a 9–2 season, set school records in sacks and tackles for loss, and finished nationally ranked in third-down defense. His defenses consistently ranked among the conference’s best while emphasizing player retention, culture development, and accountability in the transfer portal era. His leadership extended beyond schematics, creating organizational clarity and operational efficiency throughout the program.
Off the field, Lilly modernized Concord’s recruiting and roster management infrastructure. He rebuilt the scholarship allocation model, and implemented structured roster lot. He led the adoption of modern recruiting platforms, CRM systems, and social media strategy while personally signing more than 170 student-athletes, many earning all-conference honors and professional opportunities. His work created sustainable competitive advantages in recruiting efficiency, financial management, and roster stability.
In addition to coaching, Lilly serves as a consultant for football and sports business ventures including Field IQ, Athlinkd, and Coalfields & Company. He specializes in helping programs improve recruiting systems, financial modeling, organizational structure, and schematic development. With graduate degrees in education and administration, Lilly brings a disciplined, analytical approach to program leadership, driven by a mission to build smarter systems and develop long-term competitive success.
